What is the submission deadline?
The deadline for submitting late breaker abstracts is 23:59 (UTC) on Sunday 18 January 2026.
What language can I submit my abstract in?
Abstracts should be in English only.
How do I submit an abstract?
Please follow the below steps to submit your abstract:
-Review submission guidelines and format your abstract accordingly.
-Check word count, structure, abstract categories and keywords, and any specific formatting requirements.
-Create an account at the submission portal, link above.
-Make sure you use the template to submit your abstract and complete all required fields in the form.
When will I know if my submission has been accepted?
Authors will be notified whether their submission has been accepted or rejected w/c February 16, 2026.
Is there a character limit for my abstract?
Abstracts should not exceed 3000 characters – including spaces, but this limit excludes the title, author names, affiliations/organisation, and disclosure of interest statement.
How should my abstract content be formatted?
Content should be structured into the following five sections.
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results / Outcomes
- Conclusions / Lessons learnt
Can you include images/tables/charts with your abstract?
Each submission may include up to two additional uploaded files, in addition to the mandatory abstract template which much be uploaded alongside entering the text into the portal fields. These files can include tables, charts, graphics, or images/photos, but uploading them is optional.
Which category should I submit under?
Please select the category that most closely aligns to your work.
The submission review panel will have the authority to reassign submissions to the most appropriate category.
Can I submit my abstract under more than one submission category?
No, you will be able to submit against one category per submission.
May I submit more than one abstract?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of abstracts you can submit. You must complete one online application form for each submission. You cannot submit the same abstract in different categories.
Is there a submission fee?
No. There are no fees associated to making a submission but if an abstract is accepted either as an oral or poster, the submitter needs to have a valid registration in order for it to be included in the summit programme.
How will my submission be presented at the summit?
Abstracts may be selected for one of the below:
– Oral presentations in the main programme.
– Rapid fire presentation during poster tours.
– Displayed as a poster during the conference.
Please note that in person registration is required for all oral and poster tour presenters.
Where and when will the posters be displayed?
Posters will be displayed at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok, from 28–30 April 2026.
What are the registration fees for WHS 2026?
Are participants required to attend in person if they are presenting during the poster tour?
If you are presenting as part of a poster tour, your attendance and in person registration are required. However, if you are selected for poster display only you can choose either in-person or virtual registration.
If an abstract is accepted for an oral presentation will there be instructions available to presenters?
Yes. Detailed instructions will be made available closer to the summit.
Are scholarships available for abstract presenters?
Please note that scholarships do not apply to late breaker abstract submissions.
