About Oyuntungalag "Tunga"

Tunga is an information manager with the World Health Organization's (WHO) Department of HIV/AIDS and the Global Hepatitis Programme. Tunga worked as a radio and television reporter and translator at the Mongolian National Broadcaster and joined the United Nations in 1998 to develop behavior change communication strategies for reproductive health as part of UN Population Fund (UNFPA). Since then, she worked to support communication campaigns, products and events on various development topics such as poverty, micro-finance, education, environment and health as part of United Nations Development Programme, UNFPA and UNESCO. Over the past 13 years, Tunga has been working at the WHO in Geneva developing advocacy and communication initiatives on several areas: HIV/AIDS, maternal, newborn, and child health, health workforce, and since 2014, viral hepatitis. Tunga has completed her degrees in teaching, media and communication with high honours from the University of Humanities Mongolia and the International University in Geneva, Switzerland. She has also completed Advanced Development Management course at the International Organizations' MBA Programme of the University of Geneva.
