About Laura Anne

Laura Anne is the Project Manager for the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at the Doherty Institute and also a Senior Research Assistant/Research Fellow in the Law and Public Health Team within the Centre for Health Policy at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. She is a graduate of the Master of Public Health, and has completed bachelor degrees in Science and Law. She is also a qualified and admitted barrister and solicitor in New Zealand. Laura has undertaken a range of research in healthcare leadership and governance, utilising regulatory data to identify hot spots of risk to improve quality and safety of health care, and monitoring and benchmarking healthcare services and outcomes. She is currently conducting an analysis of the legal and ethical issues surrounding viral hepatitis in Australia, as well as research looking at patterns of notifications amongst ageing health practitioners in Australia.
